Long text approaching, so I'll give you this song to keep you company while you read it :)
What is a better way to start of a blog (something that I've been meaning to do for a long time, actually) than to describe yourself a little? I mean, if someone was to stop by, it would be nicer to find than just a blank page.
Well, let's see... my name is Linus, and I'm a university student from Stockholm (however I'm not originally from there; in fact I'm from a small municipality called Uddevalla, about 10 swedish miles north of Gothenburg). I'm an avid thinker, but I've often found myself short of words when it comes to expressing myself through text, something that I hope to improve with this blog, over time. While doing calculations and other engineery stuff is mainly what I do in school, I wouldn't say it is one of my greatest interests in my free time. I'm actually a quite fanatic music fan, and I listen to most different kinds of rock and metal, however it tends to converge towards the progressive side of things. Among my favourite bands are Dream Theater, Opeth, Rush and 70's prog rock such as Pink Floyd and Emerson, Lake and Palmer, which I have been exploring lately. I tend to be weak for symphonic and folk influenced music as well. Actually, I could go on and on about my preferences in music, I'll just link you to my Last.fm page for further reference. I also used to play brass instruments for many years.
Among my favourite TV shows are The Walking Dead, Star Trek (aspiring trekkie!), How I Met Your Mother and Family Guy, and among my favourite books are a few sci-fi titles as well as most of the works of John Ajvide Lindqvist). In the film department I tend to lean towards the sci-fi/horror genres, as well as some japanese animated films, mainly titles from Hayao Miyazaki.

So, what can you expect to find on this blog from now on? Well, who knows. I might review something, in that case it will probably be something music- or movie related, or I might just talk about stuff that matters to me.
